The Final Flight Of A Lifetime

It was about a day back on my usual break of Friday and Saturday of the week from work. I was busy having a good nap that afternoon, when all of a sudden, I got a dream which evoked some memories of what I would regard as the 'Final Flight Of A Lifetime'. That same night we packed all our suitcases and belongings to head back to my one and only beloved motherland of 'Sharjah'. As we boarded the flight after having done all the clearances and completing all the necessary requirements for our travel, a very familiar sound filled the air and atmosphere in the midst of the vast multitude of people sitting on their respective seats to travel to the destination country we were all headed to. It was the sound of the wheels of the aircraft that were coming off the aircraft body as the plane prepared to land on the airline runway of Sharjah International Airport. Trespassing the Roads Of The Ancient Motherland....

It has been a while since I have last posted on this blog. A constant jitter of memories strikes my mind as I keep thinking of the place where I was born and brought up in, a place rooted deep down in culture and tradition, a place that is a true representation of what it feels when all cultures come together and produce an 'amalgamation', a place where nothing but unity exists in the midst of diverse cultures and diverse people. There is no other better word to describe this place, or a melting pot of culture and traditions, than the Emirate or State of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. Sharjah is a city that has always stuck close to my heart right from birth. It is the place where when you would take a stroll on the streets and footpaths, you are immediately exposed to Moroccan, Egyptian and the Middle Eastern worlds through the restaurants that dot the roads of the 'Jamal Abdul Nasser Street' which with their Arabic music and smell of the 'Lebanese roastery...
