At the Corniche
It is a fine Friday evening of the hot summer month of May. As I stroll across the Jamal Abdul Nasser street - a breathtaking sight bequeaths my attention as I make haste of the fruits of my hard-earned labour for the day.
It's strong allure and endless charm, draw me closer to the site adored by many in the heart of the city. Behold, the breath-taking Buhairah Corniche. As I make advances to the waterfront, ten thousands gather celebrating the familial spirit that has kept them together as they reflect on the good moments of the week.
With some cycling, and others peeking through the skies on their colorful mats - a lot of cheer and merry can be seen in the eyes and faces of the young children cherishing the good little moments in their lives.
The calm waters of the Corniche dazzle and shimmer with the breeze as they give reverence to the grand Noor Mosque now lit up to enliven the neighborhood with its grandiosity and exhuberance!
It was a beautiful experience and great life lesson as I learnt the importance of cherishing every good moment in the midst of the darkness. I spent the remainder of the last few minutes gazing at the horizon, where the sun finally yielded to the luminous moon, and the water fountains colored the atmosphere with great vivacity!
